How much does a food hygiene certificate cost?

This is one of the most frequently asked questions Envesca get asked by companies calling us for the first time.

As with most things that you purchase, there are many different options available and prices vary considerably for each of the different options.

When it comes to achieving a food hygiene certificate there are three main choices available, each with a different price tag.  Your personal requirements will determine which choice is right for you.

When you make an enquiry with Envesca for food hygiene training we will thoroughly examine your situation and recommend the best option for you.  It is important that we understand what you would like to gain from the training so that we ensure that your learning objectives are met.

Now that you understand that you have choices, let me explain the three options available to you.

What Does A Food Hygiene Certificate Cost

eLearning Courses

This online method of learning offers you a convenient and flexible option.  It is ideal if you have an urgent training requirement and provides fast certification when you need it.  This style of learning provides maximum flexibility for you and your staff.  You can study when your schedule allows, any time, any place, anywhere!

eLearning reduces the time spent away from the workplace and eliminates the need to travel.  It, therefore, provides a cost-effective alternative to classroom training.

You can choose from four different levels of training; Introduction, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 and the prices vary according to the level you require.

The cost will also vary depending on the number of food hygiene certificates you need to purchase. Envesca offers quantity discounts so you can save money with bulk purchases.

eLearning training is great for individuals who are self-motivated, computer literate and have access to a printer.

The cost of our eLearning courses starts from as little as £16.00 + VAT per person when you are purchasing a bulk amount of our Introduction courses.  The maximum you will pay for a Level 3 course is £195.00 + VAT per person.

Public Courses

Public Food Hygiene courses offer the ideal solution if you are looking to train just a small number of candidates.

You don’t need to wait until you have a large group of people to train.  If you have a new member of staff or an employee who needs refresher training you can simply book just one place.

You can choose from three different levels of training; Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 and the prices vary according to the level you require.

The cost will also vary depending on the number of candidates you have to train. Envesca offers a 10% Group Discount when booking 3 or more places.

If you book and pay at least 8 weeks in advance of the course you can take advantage of our 20% Early Bird Discount.

We recommend public training to people who are looking to gain a food hygiene certificate for the first time.  This style of training provides an ideal learning environment if the subject or level is new to you.  It enables you to ask specific questions relating to your business and will also give you an opportunity to gain valuable insights from the other candidates attending the course.

The cost of our public courses starts from £91.00 + VAT per person when you are purchasing a one-day course taking advantage of all our standard discounts.  The maximum you will pay for a Level 4 course is £895.00 + VAT per person.

In-Company Courses

Having a Food Hygiene course delivered at your premises offers you the biggest flexibility.

The course can be tailored to your specific business requirements and can be delivered at a time to suit you and your business.  This could mean splitting a one-day course over two Saturday mornings or delivering a course in the twilight hours.

We would recommend in-house training to companies who are looking for more of a tailored approach and have a group of people to train.  This style of training encourages great teamwork and often sees fantastic results as ideas are “bounced off” each other.  This also often leads to increased awareness and understanding of each other’s job roles.

The cost of Envesca’s in-house courses starts from as little as £500.00 + VAT when you are purchasing a half-day non-accredited course for up to 12 candidates.  The maximum you will pay for a six-day Level 4 course is £6500.00 + VAT for up to 12 candidates.

As you can see, the price ranges vary quite a bit, just as they should considering everyone has different needs, requirements and budgets when it comes to gaining a food hygiene certificate.
