Course Description

What’s It About?

Public confidence in food safety is a major concern for any business in the food sector. The risk of cross-contamination in a manufacturing environment is high, and with increasing public, media and legislative scrutiny, food businesses must get it right the first time, every time.

Food businesses are obliged to provide food hygiene training for their staff to a level ‘commensurate to their work activities’.

This means that food handlers working in the food and drink manufacturing sector must be trained to Level 2 in food safety.

Who’s It For?

This Level 2 Food Safety for Manufacturing eLearning course is suitable for those working in a food and drink manufacturing environment. In other words, those who work in food factories, meat cutting plants, dry goods and vegetable packing, dairies, breweries and more.

However, the Level 2 Food Safety in Catering eLearning course would be more suitable if you work in a catering environment.

If you don’t directly handle food or only work with low-risk foods, you may wish to consider the Level 1 Food Safety eLearning course instead.

Supervisors and managers must be trained to a higher level. Therefore, the Level 3 Food Safety eLearning course would be the ideal option for this level of employee. Similarly, it is also useful for owners of small catering businesses.
